Chateau D'Arche Blanc

$31.99

Located in the village of Sauternes, 40km south of Bordeaux, the specificity of the vineyard is created by the Garonne and the Ciron rivers. The meeting of the cold waters of the Ciron and the warmer waters of the Garonne generates from the end of the summer a morning fog providing optimal humidity. The dry weather in the afternoon dries out the grapes and concentrates the aromas. In 1611, Etienne d’Arche 8th century generation, eldest son of Bernard d’Arche, Knight and Lord of Arche, formed the branch of the family that settled in the Bordeaux region. He was the doctor regent of the University of Bordeaux and a lawyer at the Parliament of Guyenne and encouraged the family's passionate love of wine by acquiring the estate.

“A” of Château d’Arche is a Bordeaux appellation dry wine produced by Château d’Arche, from the Grand cru classé de Sauternes in 1855. This wine has a pale, limpid and brilliant colour. The nose is fresh and offers numerous citrus fruits (lemon, citron yellow, grapefruit), passion fruit and floral notes (acacia flower) typical of Semillon. The maturing in barrels brings a light toasty touch which completes the aromatic complexity. On the palate, we find the aromatic freshness on the nose with a nice tension from the attack to the finish, coated by the creaminess as a result of the maturing on lees.
