Brewed using whole-cone, Saaz hops from Žatec, pristine water from an Ice Age aquifer, Moravian malting barley and our heritage lager yeast, this classic rich and full-flavoured lager sets the gold standard for Czech brewing across the world. The tradition of cold-conditioning in our brewery cellars for seven times longer than most other beers creates a pale lager with a sweet, deep golden body and an aromatic, hoppy foam. Bold in taste, yet refreshing and perfectly balanced."

Foam-promoting protein, one of the components of foam, is increased during the brewing process to enhance the formation and retention of foam. The crispness of the beer contrasts with the rich creamy foam, making you never feel tired of the taste."

Under communism, Czechs in every high school and university were sorted into "hop brigades" each summer, where they helped farmers tend and pick their immaculate crops of Saaz in Žatec. For this year's rotating batch of Hoppy Czech Lager, our brewmaster selected a newer hop variety in Premiant to showcase notes of lemon pith, lavender, and a hint of spice. Cheers!"
