This is a Bonded Bourbon from Old Grand-Dad/Jim Beam Distillery in Kentucky. It uses the Old Grandad recipe, which is a high-rye mash bill, purportedly amounting to about 27% Rye in the mash.

The term "Bonded" or "Bottled in Bond" means that this whiskey had to adhere to the following standards as originally written into law by the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897:

• All whiskey in the bottle must be produced by one distillery and by one distiller over the course of one distillation season.
• The whiskey must be at least four years old.
• It must be bottled at 100 proof / 50% ABV
• The whiskey must be aged in bonded warehouses under United States federal supervision.
• The label on the bottle has to state which distillery it comes from and also where it was bottled.

The Musician is a Bourbon made by Still Austin Whiskey Co from a mash of 100% Texas-grown grains. The exact mash bill for The Musician Bourbon is 70% White Corn, 25% Rye, and 5% Malted Barley.The whiskey was matured as is typical using heavily charred virgin oak casks. What sets it apart is the use of a slow water reduction technique used during maturation, where each month a small amount of water is added to the aging whiskey in casks. This is meant to soften the whiskey extract more mature notes such as vanilla and caramel from the oak. Bottled at a respectable 49.2%.

Still Austin Distillery resides in Austin, Texas, and was founded in 2015. What sets Still Austin apart from other craft distilleries is its 42-foot tall column still dubbed Nancy, which was crafted by Forsyth's of Scotland.
