We are really excited about these wines, because one of the "Three Sisters", Rebecca Mikulic (nee Lawrence) used to work here at KWM. That and the wines are also delicious! Rebecca and her husband winemaker Matthew Mikulic grow grapes throughout the Okanagan, and have a winery on the Naramata Bench. This Cabernet Franc was macerated and fermented in small lightly pressed lots and aged 18 months in new and neutral American & French oak.
Producer Description
"All the grapes were grown by Earlco Vineyards Ltd. and sourced exclusively from the Naramata Bench. Picked by hand at optimum ripeness. The juice was macerated and fermented in small lots then grapes were lightly pressed. Wine was aged for approximately 18 months in a combination of new and neutral French and American barrels. Full malolactic fermentation occurred during this time and wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered."

Winery Tasting Notes (2018 Vintage)
"Our 2018 Cabernet Franc is a full bodied red wine with notes of plum and dark stone fruit with subtle spice. Palate mirrors nose with dark fruit flavours with nice earthly, green capsicum flavours creating a lasting finish."
Three Sisters Winery, which resides next to the southern tip of the Okanagan lake just east of Penticton on the Naramata Bench, has a special place in our hearts. Rebecca Mikulic (nee Lawrence) used to work here at Kensington Wine Market. Rebecca and her husband winemaker Matthew Mikulic grow grapes throughout the Okanagan.
Three Sisters started out in 2003 with the purchase of a vineyard on the Naramata Bench in the Okanagan Valley. Later, in 2014, a winery was built and production of wines under the Three Sisters brand commenced. The naming was obvious as Rebecca was one of three sisters and her husband winemaker Matthew Mikulic also had three sisters. The production of wine has increased over the years as properties in the Okanagan region have been acquired or accesses to grapes has been contracted. The winery is family-owned and operated with family values.
If you make your way to Penticton, visiting this winery is a must - you may want to call ahead though because their tasting room is a popular stop!
