Costers del Segre is situated on the rugged western border of Priorat, sitting at 700 metres above sea level. The winery also serves as an art gallery, with works of various artists scattered about the property. All the grapes are organically farmed, and the wines are made with as little intervention as possible. It's a Garnacha/Syrah blend that sees six hours of skin contact prior to a slow 20-day fermentation. It's a full-bodied style, ideal when you feel like red wine, but it's 30 degrees outside.
