The latest permanent addition to the Highland Park range has only just been made available in Alberta. Matured primarily in American Oak Sherry casks and bottled at 47.5%. Distiller's Tasting Note: "Appearance: Natural colour, reddish gold Orkney sunset. Nose: Butterscotch, dark chocolate and orange. Palate: Full flavor, candied orange peel with spicy dark chocolate leading to a rich smoky sensation. Finish: Rich, complex, sweet smoky sensation then soft medium dry."

This 15-year-old Demarara rum from Guyana is a blend of rums aged at least 15 years (and some are close to 25 years of age.) Somewhat scotch-like, with subtle peaty notes, this one has notes of confectioner's sugar, banana and cedar on the nose. A silky entry leads to a moderately full-bodied palate of vibrant, yet refined dry caramel and grilled tropical fruit flavours braced by warm alcohol, and firm, smooth oak spice.

Since 1942 Don Julio has cultivated agave that requires seven to ten years to reach its full maturity under the brilliant sun of Los Altos de Jalisco. As in those years, Don Julio continues to produce this tequila with the same care at La Primavera distillery. Nose: fragrant, with a fresh blend of lime, grapefruit and mandarin citrus aromas with a rich touch of caramel. Taste: complex with cooked agave and wild honey. Notes of cherries and strawberries with vanilla and oaky butterscotch. Finish: long, lightly spiced with the essence of wild honey.
