This 15-year-old Demarara rum from Guyana is a blend of rums aged at least 15 years (and some are close to 25 years of age.) Somewhat scotch-like, with subtle peaty notes, this one has notes of confectioner's sugar, banana and cedar on the nose. A silky entry leads to a moderately full-bodied palate of vibrant, yet refined dry caramel and grilled tropical fruit flavours braced by warm alcohol, and firm, smooth oak spice.

This Demerara rum is a blend of rums aged to a minimum of 21 years, and up to 25 years. The nose is complex with subtle confectioned notes. The palate is warm, yet silky with gentle notes of tropical fruitl. The warmth of alcohol is supported by smooth oak notes allowing the tropical flavours to flourish. The finish is long and pleasant.

Dark brown rum distilled from molasses. Aged 12 years in used whisky and bourbon barrels. Reformulated in 2006, El Dorado 12 is now much closer in flavor and texture to the flagship of Guyana, the El Dorado 15 year old Special Reserve. Bottled at 40% alcohol by volume.
