This Baltic Porter pours black with shades of brown. Thick and creamy tan head with moderate retention. Aroma is black cherry, wood, coffee, ash and plums. Taste is less coffee-heavy than aroma suggests, but a bit more chocolatey and smokey. Baltic Porters are typically strong, sweet and bottom-fermented. They lack the powerful roast of an imperial stout, but have an intense malt character.
