Talisker's whisky style has been described as "explosive" and "volcanic", conjuring images of it's rugged island home. Nose: sweet vanilla and honey hide the smoke. Body: med/full. Palate: exotic fruit and sweet malt to start w/ waves of smoke building. Finish: spices and fruity chocolate w/ soft oils. Don't let the nose fool you, this is a massive and complex malt.

This 15-year-old Demarara rum from Guyana is a blend of rums aged at least 15 years (and some are close to 25 years of age.) Somewhat scotch-like, with subtle peaty notes, this one has notes of confectioner's sugar, banana and cedar on the nose. A silky entry leads to a moderately full-bodied palate of vibrant, yet refined dry caramel and grilled tropical fruit flavours braced by warm alcohol, and firm, smooth oak spice.

Since 1942 Don Julio has cultivated agave that requires seven to ten years to reach its full maturity under the brilliant sun of Los Altos de Jalisco. As in those years, Don Julio continues to produce this tequila with the same care at La Primavera distillery. Nose: fragrant, with a fresh blend of lime, grapefruit and mandarin citrus aromas with a rich touch of caramel. Taste: complex with cooked agave and wild honey. Notes of cherries and strawberries with vanilla and oaky butterscotch. Finish: long, lightly spiced with the essence of wild honey.
