The wines of Thomas Bachelder are inspired by his spiritual home – Burgundy – where the grapes he loves (pinot noir, chardonnay, gamay noir) originally evolved, where even the tiniest of vineyards are kept scrupulously apart in the winery, and then put separately, lovingly, obsessively into small, individual bottlings. His goal is to “keep out of the way” and let the best parcels and the most harmonious barrels come forward to liberate and define small patches of Niagara land. This is becoming a reference vineyard for Niagara, with steep stoney-silty clay and limestone soils. It's leans towards citrus and minerals with a long finish, capable of aging gracefully for another 10 years.

It showcases it's Burgundian spirit with its combination of vibrant acidity and minerality along with stone fruits and brioche.
