Decadent Drams has bottled another Marketing Malt (cough Macallan), and this one is a not so subtle dig at the distillery's 200th Anniversary releases which someone else, we won't say whom, described as resembling a Space Anus. This 16 Year old was bottled at 53% from a 1st Fill Sherry Hogshead originally filled in 2008. Limit 1 Per Customer!

The Macallan Sherry Oak 12 Year has returned to Canada for the first time in what seems like a decade. It is limited, and it might be a while until we see it again. Matured exclusively in hand-picked, sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain. 43%. It has also taken our Scotch Guy by surprise, exceeding his expectations.

"Big cask Craigellachie that doesn’t care if you’ve had your dinner. A 2005 refill bruiser with four years of first-fill sherry bolted on at the end, bottled at 58.3% and soaked in pipe smoke, walnut oil, BBQ soot, and treacle you’d need a bandsaw to cut. It’s waxy, meaty, sulphur-kissed and unapologetically heavy. Think coal shed, old study, steak tartare and scorched fruit cake. Not elegant. Not clean. Just massive and magnificent."
