Nose: Lime leaf, lemon balm, shortbread, hay bales. Pineapple upside-down cake, desiccated coconut, crème de pêche. Stem ginger syrup, pencil shavings, tobacco.
Palate: Nutmeg, dried ginger, orange blossom water. Smoked Manukau honey, lemon meringue pie, salted cashew nuts. Tajin seasoning, Creamola foam, Tizer. Hickory wood, farmy smoke, earthy depth.
Finish: Spicy, punchy, bright. A luscious, decadent dram.

This 2nd release of 10 year old Ardnamurchan, 2025 bottling, was bottled at 46.8% after maturing in a mix of 98% Bourbon Barrels and 2% Sherry Casks. The mash was 52% Unpeated and 48% Peated.

This 10th Anniversary release of Ardnamurchan was made from unpeated malt matured in first fill ex-Bourbon casks with half the liquid finished for a year in Paul Lanois casks. Bottled at 10 years of age and 50%.

"This whisky is honed and inspired by the finest and most spectacular location of any distillery in Scotland – The Ardnamurchan Peninsula.
Whisky is a natural product and we’ve ensured this is reflected in the way we operate. Uniquely in the whisky industry, all the power and heat requirements for the Ardnamurchan Distillery come from local renewables – the river that provides the distillery’s cooling water has a hydro-electricity generator and the biomass boiler is fuelled by woodchip from local forestry – the overall footprint of the distillery is a light one.
In addition, the by-products of the whisky-making process are recycled on the peninsula – the still energy-rich draff (what is left in the mash tun) is combined with the pot ale to produce animal feed for the use on the peninsula."

The 2025 release is a marriage of 83% Spanish Oak Oloroso Sherry with 17% Pedro Ximenez. It is a 50/50 marriage of peated and unpeated malt and is bottled at 50% ABV.
Ardnamurchan utilizes blockchain technology to track and record how their whisky is made then bottled. There is a QR code on the back of each bottle of Ardnamurchan bottle that links to everything from tasting notes, to who did the mash that day, and even the fermentation time. According to the info provided, we can thank Nick Docherty for this batch - at least fermentation-wise. Scott Stewart was responsible for the spirit run/distillation.
