Canadian Whisky, Bourbon Whisky, and New White Oak barrels aged Rare Batch Issue No.2 laying down in a rack style, promoting greater air flow around the barrels at a higher elevation. This traditional maturation process influenced several flavour profiles in combination with the dry air and chinook winds of the foothills."

Batch 5 of the venerable Alberta Premium Cask Strength is here! We haven't tasted it yet, but if the quality is as good as the past four releases, then you are going to want to pick one up. The 5th release is bottled at a healthy 64.2%. We have no idea how few or how many bottles of this were produced, so grab it while you can!
Rumour has it this may be the last batch of the Alberta Premium Cask Strength released in this style. Whether that means the Beam Suntory/Alberta Distillers plans on moving away from the iconic Alberta Premium Bottle for packaging, perhaps makes future editions less of a limited release, or does something else entirely remains to be seen.
