It is back, in limited quantities! High West A Midwinter Night's Dram takes is a spin on the company's own Rendevous Rye, finished in Port Barrels and bottled at a higher 49.3% ABV.
Like the Rendezvous Rye itself, Midwinter is a blend of two different Rye Mashbills:

Nose: Poached white peaches, stewed rhubarb, Italian tiramisu, candied ginger, clove, weathered cinnamon bark, fresh-pulled espresso, raspberry tarte on a cedar plank
Palate: Brandied cherries, Calimyrna figs, pecan cinnamon rolls, allspice berries, grapefruit zest, French oak shavings, hayride in the fall.

High West bottles some tremendous American Whiskey, and may be the best blender in the USA. The Rendezvous Rye from High West is a blend of four to seven-year-old rye with a high rye content in the mash bill. The two components are a 95% Rye from MGP of Indiana and an 80% Rye, 20% Malted Rye from High West Distillery itself. The result is a complex but very drinkable Rye. Bottled at 46% ABV.
