High West Distillery's new Cask Collection Series puts the focus on two things the company excels at: blending whisky and cask selection. This blend of Straight Bourbon and Straight Rye whiskey - all matured between 6 and 10 years in new oak - was further tweaked by 7 months of finishing in casks that previously held Petit Sirah red wine. The result is bottled at 50% ABV.

This whiskey showcases what High West does better than just about anybody else in the USA: Blending. Even better, it shows off their prowess at Cask Strength. Bottled at 59.9%, this is a blend of Straight Rye and Straight Bourbon Whiskies, likely from High West's own distillery in Park City, Utah as well as sourced from other distilleries which possibly reside in Kentucky and/or Indiana.

High West bottles some tremendous American Whiskey, and may be the best blender in the USA. The Rendezvous Rye from High West is a blend of four to seven-year-old rye with a high rye content in the mash bill. The two components are a 95% Rye from MGP of Indiana and an 80% Rye, 20% Malted Rye from High West Distillery itself. The result is a complex but very drinkable Rye. Bottled at 46% ABV.
