Glenfiddich Grand Cru 23 Year
$599.99
We've been waiting more than 2 years for this expression to hit our shores. I remember sampling it at Whisky Live Paris in 2019, where it was flowing like water... Matured in Bourbon & Sherry this whisky was then finished in "French cuvee casks" (translation Champagne). 40%
Producer Description
"This exclusive Glenfiddich expression has been matured for 23 years in American and European oak casks and elegantly finished in rare French cuvee casks. The finest flavours from Scotland and France have been fused together through the art of experimentation, to redefine moments of celebration and create a new and extraordinary drinking experience."

Authors Series Blair Athol 1989
$739.99
From Edition Spirits (Hunter Laing) comes this 31-year-old Blair Athol as part of their illustrious Authors' Series. It's not often we see high age statement Blair Athol, as there is no official range being released by the disillery's owners, so instead we look for cool indie bottlings like this one.
Replete with an image of Austrian author and dramatist Arthur Schnitzler (yeah, we didn't know either; thank goodness for Google), this is unquestionably one of the best Blair Athol we've had in the shop. Almost gone!
The outturn from Sherry Hogshead #18442 was 236 bottles. Natural colour, non chill-filtered, and bottled at 45.6%.
Kavalan Triple Sherry Single Malt
$141.99
This is not a surprising release to see from Kavalan, we know they have great sherry matured whiskies, though I am little surprised they chose to bottle it at 40%... chasing the Dalmore crowd I suppose... ;) Regardless, I am sure it will be excellent, Kavalan whiskies rarely disappoint!
Producer Description
"This is the first time we've combined our whisky in three different sherry casks. It's all about multiplying and enriching the sherry flavours to make a distinct whisky that has dried fruits, rich caramel, sweet maltose and tropical fruits as its profile. During this process, the flavours collide through a myriad combination of the three sherry cask whiskies, creating up to 9 distinct sherry dimensions. With its main character the dried fruits of the Oloroso cask, Triple Sherry is embellished with the sweetness of PX and Moscatel casks."
OMC 25th Annv Ardmore 13 Year
$167.99
I really wanted to dislike this... the price is a touch high, it is from an ex-Wine hogshead, and Ardmore, especially young Ardmore is so hit and miss for me. But it is excellent! 2010 vintage, 13 years old, 50%, and bottled for the 25th Anniversary of the Old Malt Cask range.

About the Mr. George Legacy Range
"Honouring Mr George Urquhart, a member of the second generation of the company’s owning family and the man who helped bring single malt whisky to the world, the Gordon & MacPhail Mr George Legacy 1957 from Glen Grant Distillery is the second expression to be released as part of the whisky creator’s annual Legacy series. It was laid down 64 years ago while ‘Mr George’, as he was known to those who knew him best, was at the helm of the business. Only 298 bottles of this single cask whisky are available, highlighting the scarcity of this rarely seen vintage from Speyside’s Glen Grant Distillery."
