"This is our Winter 2024 edition of Equinox & Solstice series. It's a 2013, 11 year old, peated Bunnahabhain matured in sherrywood. To make this we combined a 1st fill Oloroso sherry hogshead of lightly peated Bunnahabhain Ardnahoe, with a 1st fill PX sherry hogshead of heavily peated Bunnahabhain Staoisha. This mix was left to marry for a couple of months, before being bottled at this series' trademark easy dramming strength of 48.5%. It's a big, rich, velvety and generously peaty Bunna, full of comforting smoky warmth and nicely assertive and salty sherry character. A perfect companion for winter nights and good cheer."

This 12-year-old Bunnahabhain spent its life balanced between refill wood and fresh sherry casks (roughly half and half), drawing on the best of both: the distillery’s coastal soul sharpened by refill, and its richness deepened by sherry. We bottled it with a few degrees knocked back to 57.1% – our favourite strength, where the spirit shows muscle and clarity without losing finesse. This is whisky for derring-do, for bold adventures and sea-swept journeys, for maps that end at the horizon and stories that begin in the glass."

Finally back in stock, but sadly we do have to limit to 1 per customer! Demand for Islay's sleeper distillery has been outrageous lately - deservedly so - but it does mean we have to try to spread the wealth a wee bit.
Bunna 25 (or XXV, if you're hung on what the labels say) is an icon. It is unquestionably one of the most rich and elegant 25s on the market. Expect that salty oceanic tang we all know and love, but at the same time expect it to be well-tempered with gorgeous old sherry and deep fruitcake notes. While 'fruitcake' is a bit of a cheat when it comes to tasting notes, it's hard to argue in this case. And man...what a mouthfeel.

Nose: Scents of rich sherry, blossoming into sweet caramel and polished leather.
Palate: An initial taste of sweet berries and cream that evolves into a feast of roasted nuts and malt.
Finish: Soft and dry with a delicate hint of sweet sugar and spiced oak that linger long on the tongue.

Scarabus is a new single malt from Hunter Laing, the owners of the new Ardnahoe Distillery. The whisky is sourced from an undisclosed Islay distillery, as it will be years until Ardnahoe's whisky comes of age. Launched in May on Islay at Feis Isle 2019. The name of the whisky can be traced back to the 13th century, and means "A rocky place" in Norse. Bottled at 46% without colouring or chill-filtering. Tastes like peated Bunnahabhain.
