Evan's Tasting Note (Batch 23 Lot 03)
Nose: Fresh raisin bread straight out of the oven, blueberry pie, cinnamon buns, Apple Jacks cereal, vanilla candles, cedar wood shavings, and a hint of mint leaf.
Palate: Mouth-coating and waxy with a touch of heat, angel food cake with whipped cream and strawberries on top, Pink Candy popcorn, cherry juice, and canned peaches in syrup.
Finish: Red Twizzlers and waxy fruit along with a touch of drying toasted oak.
Comment: The extra 10.5% ABV steps this up quite a bit compared to the tried and true regular Maker's Mark. It would be great to have batches of this available on the regular.
Producer Tasting Note
Nose: Big oak, vanilla and caramel.
Taste: Robust, warm texture with notes of caramel, vanilla and spice.
Finish: Long finish on front of tongue, harmonious with no harsh bitterness.

We have teamed up with our friends at Bridgeland Distillery to bottle our first-ever Canadian "Bourbon Style" whisky barrel pick. The mash bill consists of at least 51% Taber Corn, plus wheat and malted barley. At five years old, it is the oldest of Bridgeland's Taber Corn Berbon bottled so far, and at barrel proof, 62.5%.

The Redemption lineup of Bourbon and Rye continue to impress us, and this Wheated Bourbon is no exception. In fact, it may be the best of what we have tasted from Redemption so far! Sourced from the powerhouse MGP Distillery of Indiana, this Wheater has a mash bill consisting of the bare minimum for Bourbon 51% Corn, a very high 45% Winter Wheat, and 4% Malted Barley. Bottled at 48%.
