Port-finished young malt from one of Scotland's newest (and biggest!) distilleries. The distillery was founded in 2015, and this was bottled in 2022, so the math says this one is definitely still on the young side, but we all know how scarce Port-casked whisky seems to be. It also seems to work well in youth.
Only 360 bottles.
Natural colour, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 56.5% abv.

Producer Tasting Note:
Nose: Mouthwatering aroma of redcurrants, sweet malt and blackberries.
Palate: Brown sugar with delicious port wine notes. Big spices amongst all the fruit.
Finish: Good length. More sweetness and red fruits.

Finglassie is what the Inchdairnie distillery calls their peated stocks. We've only seen one or two of them so far - Inchdairnie was only founded in 2015 - so it's hard to say what the distillery profile will be, but it was probably a smart decision to release this is a small batch bottling, as opposed to single cask releases. We're probably getting a closer approximation of what we can expect in future releases. The peated ones, anyway.
This 5-year-old was matured in ex-Islay Bourbon casks (so...introducing a bit of the Islay style of peat perhaps?), and finished in ex-Oloroso butts.
