Producer Note
"Armagnac Sponge Edition 2 is a 49 year old, 1972 vintage Bas Armagnac. Composed of an equal parts mix of two sibling casks and bottled at natural cask strength of 42.9%. This is essentially a luscious old Armagnac cosplaying as a 1972 Glen Grant. Obscenely bloated with honeys, honeycomb, pollens, flower nectars, sweet fruit cordials and elegant rancio. It is illegally delicious and will induce socially awkward states of pleasure. You will hate it so please don't buy any."
Sounds like an Armagnac for whisky lovers (but aren't they all?). 42.9%

“Nose: beautifully honeyed and fresh. Like nosing the best of the 1972 Glen Grants and Caperdonichs. Honeycomb, beeswax, golden sultanas and menthol fir woods. This darker toned, rustic rancio quality in the background brings you right back to classic Armagnac! Palate: perfect age, perfect strength and perfect freshness. Not at all tired, just wonderfully fruity, honeyed, naturally sweet full of subtle earthy and tobacco notes. Finish: surprisingly long and still dominated by crystalised fruits, many shades of honey, soft waxes and earths.”
