"Cincoro Anejo gains its remarkable aromas and taste from a very unique aging regimen. Our barrels are imported from Kentucky, and were first used to age Bourbon. By aging Cincoro Blanco in these barrels, we highlight the smoothness of our Blanco, complimented by wood notes from aging 24-28 months in an underground cellar, considerably longer than the minimum 1 year required for Anejo. Subtle notes of toasted oak and maple on the nose, followed by sweet cooked agave, light butterscotch and baking spices on the palate. Remarkably long, elegant finish with lingering notes of dark chocolate."

One of the rarest and hardest to find tequilas in the world, The Tears of Llorona is an Extra Anejo, aged 5 years before bottling. Unusually, the tequila has been matured in ex-Scotch, Sherry and Brandy barrels. Bottled as 43% in a 1L bottle. Only 3 bottles at KWM!
From the Producer: "Tears of Llorona is an extra extra añejo tequila. It begins as 100% blue agaves from high volcanic slopes in Jalisco, where growth is slow. Master Tequilero Germán Gonzalez hand selects the agaves and has them harvested late, increasing their starch and sugars. The piñas are roasted slowly in the traditional way. His yeast is proprietary and fermentation is slow. Distillation is by copper pot still and barreling is at very high specific gravity. Tears is aged in three different barrels -- oak that has previously held scotch, sherry, and brandy -- and brought together in very small batches to create a complex fusion that is more like a cognac than a tequila. Germán then bottles at 43% specific gravity to balance the flavors. This results in a very high rate of osmotic loss - the “angel's tears” that are one reason for the name, Tears of Llorona."
The Story of Llorona: "The story of La Llorona, “The One Who Cries,” is one of faith and faithlessness, passionate love, and shocking loss. Llorona was a very beautiful Aztec princess, beloved by a Spanish conquistador. Alas, the Conquistador abandons her and in her madness and sorrow, she goes to the nearby lake and drowns their children and herself. La Llorona—the “weeping woman"—now haunts Mexico's lakes looking for children to steal. It is a story Germán heard many times as a child. And it was Llorona’s passionate tears that inspired Germán’s greatest creation."

Volcan de Mi Tierra takes its name from volcano. The Anejo Cristalino is made from 100% Agave harvested from the Lowlands. It is aged in casks for a t least a year and then filtered to take out the colour and make it a clear tequila once more.
