Syncromesh is a boutique, family run winery that focusses on exploring our unique and complex vineyard blocks through the lens of Riesling and Cabernet Franc. They farm over 30 acres of vines ranging from the North end of Naramata to the Golden Mile in Oliver with the bulk of our vineyards situated on 107 acres in Okanagan Falls. They practice a holistic philosophy in both farming and winemaking, meaning no synthetic inputs and following organic methods. Wines are fermented naturally to capture the expression of each property and vineyard block in it's purest form.

Owners by Charles and Linda Long oversee organic farming practices on this Riesling block, located up above the Naramata Village on an alluvial fan of mostly calcium carbonate. The gentle southern slope provides very even and balanced ripening with great acid retention and gentle structure as well as a propensity for botrytis. It's 9.2% alcohol indicating it's an off-dry style.

A great wine from one of our favourite Okanagan producers! A Noble Blend is made in the spirit of Edelzwicker or Gentil, the traditional Germanic-varietal blend of the Alsace region of France. The literal translation of Edelzwicker is “a noble blend.” Year after year, this white wine is gorgeous, with lush peach, honeysuckle, and pink grapefruit aromas. A touch of botrytis adds richness, complementing the minerally, white pepper finish.

Owners John and Virginia Weber both grew up in Southern Saskatchewan. Virginia worked as a nurse and John taught High School. Life settled and things were good until they met the Similkameen Valley in 2001. The desire to try something new, their love of wine and the beauty of the Similkameen convinced them to purchase a vineyard and move from Saskatchewan to Cawston. They quickly fell in love with the area and its burgeoning wine industry. Today they have 19 years of experience making wine in the region and produce some of the valley's best.

From the winemaker: Grown at Mariposa Vineyard from the Similkameen Valley. The soil is made up of various glacial rock formations, primarily stony and silty loam. Heat consistently reflects off of the giant rock formations, so heat is still emitted long after the sun sets. There is a constant wind that rushes through the narrow valley that evaporates any moisture, so mildew and pest pressure is very low. I do not farm this vineyard, this is a negociant wine. I was not allowed to choose picking dates, I was told by the grower that the grapes would just show up at my doorstep! The bins showed up approximately 60-80% affected with botrytis! So I leaned into it. Direct pressed in an open system press, left to settle overnight. The next day the juice was racked into two neutral French oak barrels and two stainless steel barrels. The wine went through a very slow ambient ferment and secondary ferment in barrels. It was left to age in barrels for 10 months on lees. The wine was filtered and then bottled with approximately 30ppm of sulphur.
