Autlmore is famous for its sherry cask whiskies, and this 28 year old looks sherried. The Boutique-y fellows would have you believe that it is a rather boring distillery, so they've come up with a epic label! Bottled at 48.1% it is rocking an 88.5pt score on Whisky Base.
Producer Description: "Our thirteenth batch from the Aultmore distillery is a 28 Year Old, a release of just 718 bottles at 48.1% abv."

"Aultmore have been producing whisky in the Speyside region since the late 1800sHowever, despite their hundred-year-long history, there's hasn't really been a big, juicy story about Aultmore for us to turn into a label. So, what happened instead was we made the label be a shark going toe-to-toe with a velociraptor on a cargo ship. It amuses us!"

Nose: Caramelised nuts, malt loaf and juicy ripe pears.
Palate: Pears, plums and apples all come through with honey and warming ginger spices.
Finish: A warming spicy finish with a final burst of apple and pear.
That Boutique-y Whisky Company (TBWC) is part of the Atom Group, which also owns the UK retailer Master of Malt and a number of other subsidiaries. They are a dynamic and innovative firm, who by example invented the Whisky Advent Calendar concept. Established in 2012, TBWC is famous for its playful and colourful labels, which often feature prominent whisky industry figures, tell a story, and or elude to an inside joke. The labels are typically laced with hidden elements and "Easter Eggs."
TBWC bottles whiskies from around the world, though the bulk of their offerings are of Scottish origin. Most of their offerings are small-batch releases, Blended Malts, and Blends. Their "Head of Whisky" is Canadian Sam Simmons.
