This whisky from Ontario's Forty Creek takes their whisky and adds a small amount of 12-year-old Caribbean Rum (possibly Appletons since both it and Forty Creek are owned by Campari Group). The result is bottled at 40%.
On a side note: what happened to the good ol' days of Forty Creek bottling most releases at 43%? That may seem like a low bar now, but this 40% is even lower...

A curious new Canadian whisky made from a Corn/Rye Whisky sourced from the Potters Distillery in Kelowna. It was matured 17 years in ex-Bourbon and finished in 15 months in Jerez Brandy barrels from Osborne (Andalusia, Spain). Bottled at 54.5%, the spirit was made from a mashbill of 91.5% corn and 8.5% rye.
