Castell’in Villa is one of the most historic estates in Chianti Classico. Princess Coralia Pignatelli della Leonessa and her husband found the property in 1967 and purchased it the following year. Initially, Princess Coralia and her husband thought they would make wine for fun. Her father, a Greek aristocrat, demurred at the thought of his daughter becoming a peasant. At the time, there was just one hectare under vine, but planting began in earnest in 1968 following the suggestions of the Chianti Classico Consorzio, which included the white grapes that ended up being used for the first vintages.

Multifaceted, with layers of black cherry fruit, florals, savoury herbs, spices, minerals and smoke. It's remarkably lively for a wine of this age, very few Sangiovese-based wines, including Brunello, can age as greacefully as this has.

Conti Costanti makes a deep, dark, rich, cellar-worthy style of Brunello di Montalcino that is aged in Slavonian Oak casks 500 litres in size as well as 3000-litre vats. They are is consistently given high scores by critics and consumers alike, vintage after vintage. The Costanti Estate vineyards reside 300 to 400 metres above sea level and cover a dozen hectares planted mostly with Sangiovese/Brunello, along with a small amount of more recently planted Merlot and Cabernet.

Since 1670 our ancestors, followed by our great grandparents and grandparents, have extended the FERAUD & fils Estate to 22 hectares. Elvire, married to Léon Féraud was a winegrower and mother of four children. Paul, the youngest, worked the family vineyard since he was 14 years old. In 1964 he decided to produce his own wine and marketed 2,000 bottles a year. Laurence, the daughter of Paul & Odette returned to settle in Châteauneuf du Pape in 1987, having completed her wine studies and wine and spirits business school. She proposed to her parents to create an independent family estate of 5ha and registered the name Pegau. Fast forward to this century where Domaine du Pegau is regarded as one of the top producers of Chateauneuf and one of the top producers on the planet.
