Past Event: Indies from the West Indies* a Virtual Rum Tasting

It’s been a hot moment since we’ve done a rum tasting. We keep seeing new labels pop up for us to try, but just as importantly, there are still bottles on our shelves that we haven’t even tasted yet! It’s time to correct this! We’ve gathered a bunch of bottlings - old and new - to take a tour of –mostly- the west indies. Rums of classical origin, but from non-classical bottlers. (Yes, there’s also a Dutch, South African, and South Pacific rum in here, but it’s hard to think of names for tastings sometimes) Independently bottled spirits have been a massive part of spirit history and are still very important today. This tasting will highlight how IBs can make traditional rums shine bright. *ANDREW'S NOTE: We liked the tasting name, so despite the fact only four of the rums are from the West Indies... we kept the name!

3. Berry's Panama Rum 2006 Cask 22 - 55.7%
4. Boutique-y Rum - Flying Dutchman 4 Year Old 55.6%
5. Berry's Monymusk 2008 Cask 10 - 54.5%
6. Boutique-y Rum - Caroni 20 Year Old 60.3%
7. Bira! South African Rum - 4 Year SAWCR - 56%
