In the beginning of the 1960s, Giuseppe Rivetti, nicknamed ‘Pin’, and his wife, Lidia, were both expert and dedicated farmers with enormous appreciation and knowledge for tradition while keeping a curious interest in the future. They exemplified humility, respect, as well as ambition. These are the values that still define the philosophy of La Spinetta. In due course, their children, Carlo, Bruno, Giorgio, and Giovanna, took over the winery reins. They worked to implement the teachings of their parents and were taught to have great respect for the territory, for the indigenous vines and for the Piedmontese land. They now produce wines in Tuscany as well, with great results.
750 mlWhile La Spinetta is famous for its exceptional Barberescos, the rose is a delight. Inspired by Provencal Rosés, they decided to produce one rosé from their portfolio. The fascinating characteristics of Sangiovese and Prugnolo Gentile permitted us to create a wine that shows great character, an intense aroma, and which is very pleasant to drink. It has a floral and fruity bouquet with hints of citrus and Mediterranean scrub. On the palate, it is wonderfully fresh and delicate with satisfying minerality and an all-embracing acidity.

After 14 years under the umbrella of Okanagan Crush, Haywire is finally taking center stage with a bold, brand-new look that is hitting the market this year. A modern tasting lounge has been constructed adjacent to the crush pad and cellar, offering views of Okanagan Lake and Switchback Organic Vineyard. Visitors will be able to relax year-round and enjoy our wine together. Wines are still made under the Okanagan Crush Pad label,,as it the case with this rosé. This fresh, lively rosé made from cabernet sauvignon and merlot was fermented using native yeast in concrete tanks. This wine has lifted floral and red berry aromatics with a creamy savouriness and Okanagan herbal flair. A lush textured mouthfeel with rhubarb, ripe strawberry, and fragrant apple blossom notes and bone dry with a long finish. Pair with a wide array of foods, like poultry, creamy dishes or light pasta.
