This winery begins with a tale of two brothers - Walter and Antonio Mastroberardino -who parted ways, with Antonio acquiring the winery and Walter acquiring the vineyards (renamed as Terradora). The Terredora di Paolo estate is located on the hills of Irpinia surrounding the valleys of the Sabato and Calore rivers. With about 180 hectares of vineyards, they rank among the most prestigious producers in Southern Italy. The South of Italy is one of the most interesting wine areas in the country and Campania, and especially the Irpinia region, produces wines from native grape varieties such as Aglianico, Fiano, Greco, Piedirosso and Falanghina, all of which are brimming with personality. Aglianico has been called the Barolo of the South for its power and its ability to age for many years. We have just received their Irpinia Aglianico, Falanghina, Rosato, and Lacryma Cristi Rosso (made from Piedirosso).

Fiano is a white grape from Southern Italy that everyone should get acquainted with. ITs a bright, elegant and floral wine, that shows notes of pear, Mediterranean citrus, acacia, toasted hazelnut and a lovely note of minerality. Fiano, along with greco di tufo and falanghina, forms the trio of white grapes Campania is famous for. The wine has a clear, straw-yellow colour, with light greenish reflections. On the nose, there are warm and enveloping aromas of yellow flowers and flintstone, ripe fruit and hazelnuts, all softened by touches of honey and acacia. The palate is sumptuous and pulpy, characterized by notes of pear and apricot, delicate and soft but with bright acidity to balance it out. The volcanic and calcareous soils ensure incredible minerality, as well as impressive sapidity.

Food Pairings: Ideal with seafood, raw fish, anchovies, fried fish, spaghetti with clams, sweet and sour pork, veal with tuna sauce, truffle and Cantonese risotto, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, spaghetti alla carbonara, paella, tandoori curry, and almond and fried chicken.
