Andrew's Tasting Note

Nose: meaty, leathery and fruity; stewed dark fruits, prunes and grilled figs wrapped in proscuitto; there is a savoury briny saltiness with Russian caramel an muddy earth.

Palate: meaty, tarry and sweet; bacon infused chocolate, more prunes, stewed dark fruits and grilled figd wrapped in proscuitto; savoury and briny with a medicinal edge, muddy peat notes and more Russian caramel; smoky barrel aged maple syrup.

Finish: the finish is surprisingly light and malty, that is once the bolder tones slowly fade off.

Comment: this is a big, bold Ledaig, the youthfull spirit has been matched by firm wine cask notes.
