Jeff Runquist produces wines from grapes grown throughout California, although his winery is situated in Amador County. At last count, he was planning to crush over twenty different varieties from nine different appellations. Most of these wines are produced in very small limited quantities. However, there are four principal wines that the winery strives to have available throughout the year and they are: Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Barbera, and Petit Verdot.

Aged in 100% new French oak delivers a bouquet of nutmeg, caramel, and chocolate. On the palate, the flavours are savoury with plenty of luscious black fruit and creamy toasty oak. This is a rare expression of Petite Sirah in that the texture is soft supple and the tannins are mature and integrated. There is no trace of mouth-drying astringency so frequently associated with this variety. The finish of this wine is creamy, almost sweet, with lingering notes of both fruit and caramel.
