Two Brewers Yukon Single Malt Release 04

Bottled at 43% this is the fourth single malt from Yukon Brewing and Distilling. Only 1440 bottles have been released. 

Most of the whisky contained in this release from Two Brewers was aged in bourbon barrels for 7 years. It was then finished in a combination of fresh ex-bourbon barrels as well as some virgin oak for a few extra months before bottling.

Producer Tasting Note: "Bright minty malt tones present spring meadow aromas, with touches of cedar and clean fresh oak. The palate is wrapped like velvet with refined malt sweetness, delicate flavour highlights, and subtle barrel influences. A sweet butter and spice finish gently dries from the palate."

Evan's Tasting Note 

Nose: Vanilla, coconut, custard and cocoa powder. Cinnamon sticks, orange marmalade, ripe bananas, pancake syrup, honey and sawdust. Slight hints of mint and chamomile.

Palate: Bananas foster with whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon, nougat, dried mango, lime zest, vanilla, toffee and hazelnut flavoured instant coffee.

Finish: Fresh and clean and well rounded. Not cloying at all. Leaves you wanting another sip.

Comments: This is another very approachable release from Two Brewers. In my mind these guys are quickly developing a solid reputation with their cask selection and their release choices. I look forward to release 05 and beyond!
