Andrew's Tasting Note

Nose: hard toffee, juicy malt and gentle grassy peat; a bright note of orange pops up with some creamed honey and freshly picked wild berries.

Palate: very malty, loads of honey, cream and vanilla; very lush and layered for 7 years; subtle peat oils and gentle grassy smoke; more hard toffee and juicy orange with building licorice and fennel notes; the wild berry fruits are still there with a touch of soft oak.

Finish: soft, smooth, honeyed and long; creamy oak and clean gentle peat smoke slowly fades with more wild fruits; warming, it is mouthwatering with tingling spices which lasts for minutes and minutes.

Comment: I am very happy with this young but very complex Arran, the 57.0% cask strength is barely apparent and it has character well beyond its years!
