The Murray has long been one of our favorite pseudo-core range cask strength distillery bottlings. Its clean barley-forward profile stands in sharp contrast to many of its peers, whom we'll not mention here. A whisky of this calibre and execution is almost underpriced in today's climate.
Distilled in 2008, matured in First Fill American Oak, and bottled in 2021 at 56.1%. Natural colour and non chill-filtered.

On the nose, honeycomb candy with butterscotch fudge, layers of candy flass, Creme Brulee and molasses all drenched in a warm spiced bergamot orange liqueur. Rich creamy toffee flavours infused with citrus fruits, brownie baked alaska with hints of choc chip mint ice cream combine leaving a long lingering velvety finish.

The Tullibardine Sovereign is bottled at 43% from 1st Fill Bourbon casks. Tullibardine Distillery was the first new distillery to open after WWII. Located in the town of Blackford, famous for its pure clean water. In 1488, King James IV, then 14, visited the town to purchase some of the best beer in Scotland for his coronation.
Distiller's Tasting Note: "It exhibits barley, pear drops and creamy chocolate notes, which develop on the palate with a lingering finish."

This Tullibardine was matured in American oak and matured for 12 months in Sherry Butts before bottling at 43%. It is one of the three wood finshes in the core Tullibardine range.
Tullibardine located in the southern Highland town of Blackford, just north of Perth, was the first distillery built in Scotland after World War II. The distillery sits on the site of a series of breweries which date back more than 500 years. In 1488 King James IV, then aged 14, paid a visit to a brewery in Blackford to purchase beer for his coronation.
