Old Malt Cask whiskies are back at KWM, and we are thrilled. We selected 5 bottlings as exclusives for KWM. This 19 year old Arran is exclusive to KWM in Calgary, bottled at 50% from a Refill Hogshead (HL11885), a total of 288 bottles were produced with just 30 coming to Calgary. Distilled September 1996 and bottled: September 2015.
Andrew's Tasting Note
Nose: creamy, floral and honeyed; loads of melon, fresh picked oranges and grapefruits; Belgian waffles with whipped topping; some tangy jammy notes too and English marmalade.
Palate: very creamy, and coating with loads of vanilla: custard and white chocolate; still jammy, more English marmalade and dulce de leche; more melon, orange, grapefruit and Belgian waffles with whipped topping.
Finish: long and ethereal, still creamy, delicately floral and decadent; loads more whipped topping right through the finish and delicate fruits.
Comment: it is hard to screw up an Arran, especially in the American oak and this one is beautiful; one of the oldest Arrans we've ever seen!
Producer Tasting Note
Nose: sweet vanilla custard, prunes, rhubarb and sulphur.
Palate: sweet creamy vanilla, stewed rhubarb and fruit salad.
Finish: long, lingering, slightly dry with a fruity aftertaste.

The 18 year old Arran was added to the distillery's core range in 2016 for its 21st anniversary. Bottled at 46%, un-Chillfiltered and with no colouring added, the Arran 18 year old is created predominantly from carefully selected first and second-fill Ex-Sherry casks. Rich, fruity with some soft spices in style, the 18 year year old Arran represents a great value for its age. The new packaging looks good, but I still love the old one! #torn The current release was bottled 05/09/25.

Bottled at 50% and 13 years of age from a Canasta Cream Sherry Cask. This whisky was bottled as a part of the 25th Anniversary Range for Old Malt Cask.
