One of three 20 year old Clynelish distilled in 1995 and bottled by Signatory after 20 years to come into KWM, exclusively in Alberta. Cask 8686, a Refill Sherry Butt, has been bottled at 53.2%. Only 12 bottles coming in!

Andrew's Tasting Note

Nose: dark chocolate, dried dark fruits and a freshly opened box of Cuban cigars; soft new leather, damp leaf litter, and honeycomb right from the hive; espresso roast coffee beans, drying maple syrup and pencil shavings.

Palate: rich, dark and very chocolaty with building tobacco, dark spices (clove and fennel) and more pencil shavings; the dark fruits are big and chunky, classic Christmas cake with a side of Panda brand licorice and maple syrup; the honeycomb is still there but with some quince paste and espresso beans.

Finish: long, rich and coating, more honey; big Christmas cake, tobacco and leather and clove.

Comment: this is as close to a sherry bomb as Clynelish can get without loosing its essential Clynelishiness!
