Nose: Outstanding mature depth with a rich marriage of honey-sweetness, pears and peaches and rose-petal floralness. Into the mix approach delightful hint of vanilla and cigar box spiciness.
Taste: Gentle and sweet creaminess and hints of almond nuts. A truly wondrous fusion of flavours.
Finish: Vanilla climbing to a fruity and spicy finale.

Here it is: the classic 25 Year Old Glenfarclas Single Malt Scotch. No corners are cut at Glenfarclas. Even though it is much more expensive, and hard to procure, their focus is still on European oak. Founded in 1836, Glenfarclas is the second oldest family-owned distillery in Scotland.

When Tullibardine retooled their lineup in 2013 the 25 year was launched as the premiere expression in the core range. Bottled at 43%, the distillery has not specified the cask type.
Tullibardine located in the southern Highland town of Blackford, just north of Perth, was the first distillery built in Scotland after World War II. The distillery sits on the site of a series of breweries which date back more than 500 years. In 1488 King James IV, then aged 14, paid a visit to a brewery in Blackford to purchase beer for his coronation.
Distillery's Tasting Note: "This is benchmark Tullibardine, full-bodied, smooth and fruity in the mouth. There are a myriad of flavours coming from toffee, spice and dried apricots, through to the more obvious barley and vanilla notes on the finish. This is a Tullibardine to savour and take ones time over."
