700 mlAndrew's Tasting Note - Lot 19/08/19
Nose: soft for the ABV, honeyed, malty and fruity; Starburst fruit candies, juicy orange, marzipan, marcona almonds and Strawberry Twizzlers; firm but balanced toasted oak and chewy malt.
Palate: big, honeyed and malty with soft fruits and toasted oak; honey and vanilla with silky oak tannins; more waxy Starburst candies and Strawberry Twizzlers; floral with loads of citrus and pineapple.
Finish: silky, coating, warming and medium-long in length; more honey, vanilla, flowers and waxy fruits.
Comment: if this is 7 years old, wow… regardless of age this is a very approachable cask strength whisky with lots of character at a very reasonable price!
