Andrew's Tasting Note

Nose: creamy, honeyed and fresh at first; dried pinapple chunks, white chocolate, clean maritime smoke and earthy-chunky peat.

Palate: very creamy, chewy malt, lots of honey, vanilla and firm earthy peat; more dried pineapple chunks, white fruits and orange rinds; caramel chews with sea salt, Strawberry Twizzlers and clean wood smoke.

Finish: long, creamy, smoky and salty with more caramel and more waxy fruits like Twizzlers and Starburst.

Comments: a fine balance of fruits, smoke and cream.

Distiller's Tasting Note

Nose:  Fresh green apples and gooseberries to the fore, with hints of lemon grass and a subtle peat influence. There are also maritime notes combined well with a smoked applewood aroma.

Palate:  A very smooth, creamy dram with notes of pine wood, vanilla and banana. Peat is also present which complements the sweet, saltiness of this whisky.

Finish:  A long and chewy finish with an intense vanilla butter cream ending. A classic Longrow whisky, oily with the peat rolling back after each sip.
