"The recipe for our fruit liqueurs is simple: water, fruit, sugar and liquor. It's the proportions and the maceration time that make all the difference and that's where our know-how comes into play. With our long experience in the subtle art of blending fruit and liquor, we did not limit ourselves to the classic crême de cassis, instead we have elaborated blackberry, blueberry and even chestnut spirits whose flavors bring to mind our mountains. Add some color to your aperitifs!"

Crème de violette and liqueur de violette are generic terms for a liqueur with natural and/or artificial violet flower flavoring and coloring with either a brandy base, a neutral spirit base, or a combination of the two. The taste profile and aroma are distinctly floral and sweet, and reminiscent of the violet candies popular in the early to mid 20th century. Its known production dates back to the early 19th century when it was served with dry vermouth or alone as a cordial.

Dolin Crème de Violette offers a distinctly floral and sweet taste, with a rich, perfumed aroma reminiscent of violet candies, and a subtle hint of herbaceousness. 

It's made by macerating violet petals in alcohol, followed by distillation, typically using brandy or neutral spirits. 

Serving Suggestions:

          It's often used in cocktails, where it adds a floral note and a subtle  purple color, and can also be enjoyed neat or over ice. 

Cocktails:

It's known for being a key ingredient in the Aviation cocktail, but can also be used in other cocktails like Gimlets, Last Words, and Martinis.
