This 16 year old Glengoyne has been bottled at 46% by Cadenhead, in their Small Batch collection. The whisky is the product of a sigle Sherry Butt. 30 bottles have come to Canada, exclusively to KWM, who are the exclusive retailer of Cadenhead in Canada.

Producer's Tasting Note

Nose: Rich, meaty sherry notes.  Very intense with some treacle notes and lots of dark fruits.  

Palate: Thick and chewy, lots of sherry, hints of balsamic vinegar, black cherries, chocolate orange and a background creaminess.

Finish: You can chew this all night.  Big  whisky, toffee, blackberries, treacle and golden syrup.  Proper Whisky!

Distillery Fact: Glengoyne uses a combination of short and Long fermentations (50 and 110 hours) in order to get a more complex spirit.  The distillery has been owned by Ian Macleod since they bought the distillery from the Edrington group in 2003.
