This 18 year old Glendronach single malt was matured in European oak before finishing in small batch of Marsala casks. It was bottled at 46% without added colouring or chill-filtering.
Distiller's Tasting Note
Nose: Golden syrup over stewed orchard fruits, infused with a touch of candied ginger, hazelnut and warm, deep oak spices.
Palate: Richly spiced wildflower honey pours over fire roasted apples, softening to golden sultanas and ripe pear. All balanced with vibrant ginger, white pepper, fresh-cut oak and stewed barley.
Conclusions: Torrents of delicious contrasting full-bodied characters, rolling from dominant summer fruits to peppery, richly toasted oak spice.

Not so much a classic, as it is an icon. When you're looking for big sherried malts, there's probabaly not many that should come before this one.

This rich expression has been named ‘Parliament’ after the colony, or ‘parliament’, of rooks that have been nesting in the trees that overlook the GlenDronach distillery for almost 200 years."
