Matured first in American bourbon barrels, the whisky is then ‘finished’ in Sauternes casks, sourced from the Bordeaux region of France. During this second period of maturation the whisky interacts with the oak wood and derives a number of additional interesting flavours and aromas. With only a limited quantity released world wide, the 15 years old Sauternes Finish is the latest addition to the BenRiach 'Wood Finish Series'.

Distiller's Tasting Note

Nose: Apricot jam and warm, peppery oak hold touches of crisp grape and mellow honeydew melon.

Taste: Golden plums and nectarines balanced by contrasting waves of toasted oak and grape seed, followed by a delicate backnote of ground almonds and butterscotch.
