Old bush vine Grenache is the unsung hero of McLaren Vale. These old low yielding vines result in small berries, thick skins and open bunches which deliver bright fruit flavours and a rustic savoury texture. The wine critics sure love this one too. Here is Robert Parker’s 90 point review: “Pale to medium ruby-purple, the 2013 Bush Vine Grenache has a nose of baked raspberries and kirsch, potpourri, pepper and dusty earth. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is soft, gentle and understated yet has plenty of fruit and persistence”.
