Bottled at 40% this new Sherry cask matured expression of Glenrothes is exclusive to KWM in Alberta. This whisky came to our attention when it was given a Silver Medal by Whisky Magazine, scoring 90pts with Anabelle Meikle.

Distiller's Tasting Note

Bouquet: Orange peel, fruit cake, vanilla, ginger bread, black cherries and pear drops.

Palate: Spicy, ginger, oaky notes, crème brulee.

Finish: Lingering spiciness with orange peel notes."

Nose: Lemon and pears poached with turmeric and saffron, heady and exotic. Perfumed flower pollen, frangipane and pineapple with a waxed balsa wood.

Palate: A tingle of mace at the tip of the tongue then a thicker syrup like texture. Lemon cake with sherried sultanas, ginger nut biscuits and spiced carrot cake with buttercream icing.

Finish: Big and silky texture with a clean finish. Comment: Sultry and brooding. Katharine Hepburn in a glass.
