It has been great to see Glenfiddich, the world's larges single malt brand, release some more interesting experssions over the last year. After maturing in a mix of casks the whisky is finished in European oak Ex-Sherry Butts to add depth and character. This is Glenfiddich's first double matured expression.

Distiller's Tasting Note

Nose: Damp earth and whisky-soaked wood intertwine with deep vanilla and smoky embers.

Taste: Rich with complex flavours layered by double-maturation. Sherbet and zinginess slowly turn to spice. Tempting plum and cherry follow, with hints of toasted almonds and fruit cake.

Finish: Silky and smooth.
