Cadenhead Small Batch Caperdonich 1977

This item is archived.

This heavily sherried 35 year old from the closed Caperdonich distillery is exclusive to KWM in Canada, with just 24 bottles having come to the market! Andrews Tasting Note: Nose: dried Christmas cake, a spice shop at Christmas and a leather cigar pouch; some juicier candied fruit slowly emerges with a touch of chocolate and black licorice; Palate: big, fruity and rich, with powerful but balanced sherry notes; no tinge of bitter oak or sulphur in this sherry bomb; there are some more delicate tropical fruit notes like Mango, Papaya and Guava but the sherry is holding them in check; soft leather and tobacco also caress the palate along with brown and Demerara sugars as well as hints of dark spice: fennel and clove; Finish: long, rich and smooth with the leather and tobacco notes lingering long and the fruits, chocolate and spice fade around them; Comment: one of the finest Caperdonichs Ive ever tasted.
