Bottled exclusively for the Alberta market, this single cask is 12 years old and bottled at a natural cask strength of 58.1%. The cask was selected by Andy Dunn of Gold Medal Marketing with the assistance of Andrew and Hunter. $8.25/bottle is being donated to Veterans Charities.

Andrew's Tasting Note

Nose: new leather, salt water taffy, Glosset Raisins, short bread and caramel sauce; some brine and smoke underneath browning apples and pears.

Palate: rich fruits and spice mingle with a surprisingly strong oily, smoky, peat; dates and figs emerge with chocolate even though the ever present salty-smoke continues to linger; candied ginger, hot cinnamon hearts, and more leather.

Finish: the round peat oils cling well into the long balanced finish with more lingering chocolate, peat and spice.
