Glenfarclas 25 Year Old Quarter Cask

Bottled at a cask strength of 42.4%, this whisky is the marriage of the last 10 quarter casks maturing at Glenfarclas, the youngest of which was 25 years old. Andrew's Tasting Note: �Nose: caramel sauce, chocolate fudge and vanilla ice cream; sticky toffee pudding in fresh cream; layered dark fruits and spice with a hint of mint and subdued tropical fruits; ripe melon, diced mango and canned pineapples; Palate: round, fruity, earthy and spicy with some drying leather and tobacco; underneath it all a layer of cream and crisp toasty oak; on second pass the treacle sauce and toffee cake make an appearance with dried fruit and some fresh mint; burnt fruits, Demerara sugars and dark chocolate; the tropical fruits come out with some patience; Finish: drying with loads of tobacco, dark fruits, sugars and spice with just enough creaminess to keep it fresh.
