A limited release of Ardbeg released to celebrate the first whisky sent into space! 1999 vintage bottled in 2012 after maturing in Bourbon and Marsala cask. It disappeared very quickly but has briefly reappeared for a final appearance at KWM. This 11 year old has been bottled at 49%. Matured in a mix of Bourbon and Madeira casks.
Andrew's Tasting Note
Nose: surprisingly mellow for Ardbeg (but not Blasda mellow), lots of barley sugar, biscuitty peat, chocolate orange and candied coated fennel; very fruity with raisins and figs, ripe oranges and grape fruits, and mixed berries.
Palate: creamy, earthy, peaty, sweet and spicy all at once; the citrus fruits, creamy vanilla and chocolate are all there but loosely buried under the surging peat and barley; more candied fennel along with oily-heathery-peat.
Finish: drying, peaty and still sweet showing more chocolate, fennel and orange and lime peels.
Comments: this whisky will soar like a rocket!

The Corryvreckan started out as a replacement for the Airigh Nam Beist but has become a legend in its own right. The whisky has a unique sweet and spicy twist which blends well with the whisky's peaty maritime backbone. Bottled at 57.1% this whisky is often amongst the highest scoring with whisky critics and reviewers. It gets its sweet and spicy characteristics from the French oak in which some of the vatting is matured.

This Ardbeg, pronounced (pronounced ‘Oog-a-dal’), is a mariage of ex-Bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It takes it's name from the mysterious Loch that also happens to be Ardbeg Distillery's water source. It is bottled at 54.2%, but is still very approachable and savoury with the melding of sherry notes to Ardbeg's classic style.

One of Scotland's most beloved whiskies, this 10 year old highlights the distillery's peaty provenance. Although technically the most peated full time production whisky in Scotland, the distilleries stills and spirit-purifier gives this malt a softer edge than might be expected. It has been bottled at 46% without colouring or chill-filtering.
