The plantation rums are produced in small batches, distilled and matured for the first few year in the Caribbean before being transferred to France where they are finished in Cognac casks. This rum was sourced from a distillery in Nicaragua distilled in 2001. Bottled at 42%.
Andrew's Tasting Note
Nose: diced fruit bowl, lots of vanilla and orange citrus with soft leather.
Palate: more soft vanilla, candied ginger and cinnamon hearts with more assorted diced fruits.
Finish: long, light, floral and creamy sweet.
